I uploaded a video of the fire to YouTube - it's really cool.

I've been through a fire. Hubby and I swore it would never happen again.

My heart goes out to you. Thank god you're okay. This fire was amazing because you got to see (safely) how quickly the flames expand and the smoke gets you. We were outside and kept backing up because of the intense heat and smoke.

It was incredible to experience while safe. This is exactly why they say get out immediately if you smell smoke - it'll take you over fast.

It was amazing to watch AND feel. The intense heat overwhelmed you. We also got to watch the firefighter recruits training. While Joe Citizen is running out of the burning building, these firefighters are rushing INTO the burning building. A heartfelt thanks to firemen everywhere!

You've shared a very powerful lesson -- and all without saying a word.

Cool, thank you, George. Your pictures are awesome, by the way.

Thanks! I'm so glad the photos can do the experience justice, or as close as is possible.

You know, I may be crazy for thinking this...but I believe you had a good time at the WPA.

Just a teensy bit of a good time. Um, when is next year's again? Is it tomorrow by chance?
