Transformers 3

These are more pictures (courtesy of E. Oberth) of the Transformers 3 filming. It's some incredible stuff these people are doing. These pics were taken in July in Downtown Chicago.

I hope you enjoy them!

This is a car hanging off the open Michigan Ave. Bridge
Upside down Chicago Bus!
On Wacker Drive
Billowing smoke on Wacker Drive
Cars on fire on Wacker Drive
Part of the Unitron Sign - reduced to rubble!
Look close at the middle left of the pic. That's a stuntman doing an amazing jump over the open Wabash Ave. Bridge
Stuntman walking back to jump over the Bridge again
Stuntman doing a roll after jumping over the open Bridge
Look again for the stuntman jumping his little heart out. Could you imaging this being your workday?
Stop drop and roll!!!

Thank you so much for your tour of Chicago (my old home town) and the Transformers. That was cool and I'm going to show my grandson. We have watched the first two movies.

You mentioned quotes - that you like them - good - because instead of birthdays in September - I'm going to put a positive quote a day.

I actually have another batch of 'Transformer' photos to go through and post one of these days...

Say hello to your grandson for me!

What do people do while this is going on? Are there detours and traffic jams?

Lots of fun watching from Marina Towers.

Love to watch filming. My retirement fantasy is some kind of job with movies. Thanks so much for stopping by Buttercup's and your great comments. Hope you will visit often!

When I first looked at the pictures I thought something terrible had happened. Then I read your introduction, it really is amazing what goes on behind the scenes of a film. That stuntman certainly does a lot of jumping around doesn't he?

When I was on holiday in Cornwall I saw them filming Doc Martin (a British comedy) and that was really interesting.

I really wanted to ask the actress for her autograph but didn't have the nerve.

I love your pictures, thank you for posting them.

Au and Target - they pretty much scheduled their filming during the weekends and after work as much as they could. There are detours - I can't tell if there were WORSE traffic jams :)

Buttercup - go for it, it's great!

Guarded By An Angel - sorry for the fright!! Just a movie, just for fun. I know what you mean about asking for autographs. I really don't think it's so much nerves as respect on your part.

Thanks for stopping by!!
